The general assembly of the Non-Resident Nepali Association (NRNA) National Coordination Council of America has concluded in Texas. The two-day general assembly has decided to further advance the long-standing division within the organization towards unity, among other issues.
The inaugural session was held on the first day of the general assembly under the joint chairmanship of both parties' presidents Satendra Sah and Bikash Upreti. In the closed session, the action plans of both parties were presented. The closed session has also passed a provision to amend the statute and give the same rights, responsibilities and status to the nominated office bearers as the elected board members. A five-member election committee has also been formed under the leadership of former spokesperson Om Bhattarai for the upcoming elections.
