The Greater New York Nepali Chamber of Commerce is organizing the Nepali American Business and Investment Summit 2026. The three-day international business conference to be held at the New York JFK Marriott Hotel in New York from September 25 to 27, 2026, will bring together government representatives, businessmen, investors, entrepreneurs, policymakers, and the Nepali diaspora around the world, the organizers said.
The conference aims to expand trade, promote investment, develop technology, and build long-term economic partnerships between the two countries, said Pradeep Shrestha, president of the Greater New York Nepali Chamber of Commerce. "NABIS aims to build strong economic relations between Nepal and the United States by connecting ideas, capital, and people," Shrestha said.
He said that Nepal has great potential in tourism, hydropower, information technology, modern agriculture, infrastructure development, manufacturing industries, and startups.
He said that empowering Nepali entrepreneurs across the US is also an important objective of NABIS. From New York to California, Texas to Illinois, and Florida to Washington, Nepali entrepreneurs have achieved remarkable success in the restaurant, hotel, healthcare, information technology, real estate, construction, financial services, retail, education, and transportation sectors, he said.
The three-day conference will discuss Nepal's investment potential, international trade and capital partnerships, technology and artificial intelligence (AI)-based innovation, and expanding local businesses to the global market.
