Speaker of the House of Representatives, Dol Prasad (DP) Aryal, has said that it is necessary to include people of Nepali origin scattered around the world in a broad manner. Speaker Aryal expressed this view during a meeting with a delegation led by Senior Advocate Sushil Kumar Pant, Vice President of the Association of Nepali Origin (ANO).
In a recent meeting, he informed that efforts will be made to include people of Nepali origin in a broad manner and that laws will be made in the national interest.
On the occasion, ANO Vice President Pant informed that the organization is working to create an environment where people of Nepali origin, regardless of their generation, can culturally connect with Nepal and promote Nepaliness wherever they live.
He informed that the organization has suggestions on issues such as the definition of a person of Nepali origin mentioned in the draft act under discussion, and said that there is a need for discussions with all stakeholders.
Meanwhile, ANO General Secretary Chudamani Bhattarai and Board of Trustees member Omraj Gurung met with Foreign Secretary Amrit Rai and submitted a letter of suggestions prepared by ANO on the draft act prepared by the ministry. Receiving the letter, Secretary Rai informed that the ministry is ready for extensive discussions.
