Gulmi District Society UK has provided assistance of Rs 100,000 to Satyawati Multiple Campus, Rs 100,000 to Asha Apang Kendra, Rs 50,000 to Kairav Khatri at Radio Pushpanjali, Rs 50,000 to Rurukshetra Autism Pathshala, Rs 50,000 to Ishwar Sharma, a disabled person from Satyawati Rural Municipality-4, Rs 50,000 to Anuj Gyawali, Rs 50,000 to Bina Nepali from ISMA Rural Municipality-3, and Rs 50,000 to Netra Bahadur Rana of Gulmi Durbar-5. The assistance was collected in the UK on the occasion of Disability Day. A lump sum of Rs 50,000 has been provided.
Asha Apang Kendra Gulmi President Janardan Ghimire said that Gulmi District Society UK has been providing assistance since the past. 'It has been working to put ointment on the painful wounds,' he said, 'Support is always being provided through Asha Apang Kendra.'
Gulmi District Society UK President Rudra Thapa said that they have provided Rs 500,000 for some relief to the disabled. 'We have provided personal and institutional support to the disabled,' he said, 'in the coming days, there is a plan to teach skills, not just cash.' He said that he is planning to establish a revolving fund in the coming days.
Resunga Municipality Mayor Khildhwaj Panthi said that it is commendable to help the disabled and helpless in his homeland while living abroad. 'The victims have been helped by collecting the little amount they have earned,' he said, 'Gulmi District Society UK has remembered the district in pain.'
