Chinese and Nepalis focused on Beijing

On the occasion of International Meditation Day, the Nepali Embassy in Beijing, the capital of China, has organized a meditation and yoga class for Chinese and Nepalese. In this meditation class titled ‘Spirit and Body Connection’, Guru Amar (Yogi Ramesh Sitaula) from Nepal engaged the participants in meditation, singing bowl and yoga practices.

Acting Ambassador Roshan Khanal, recalling that this year marks the 70th anniversary of diplomatic relations between Nepal and China, said that the relationship between the two countries began with the exchange of knowledge and learning between monks and scholars in the early 5th century. She said, “There are many places in Kathmandu and its surrounding areas for experiencing Ayurveda and spa treatments in a peaceful environment, including hotels and resorts, Ayurveda hospitals, yoga trekking opportunities, and yoga and meditation. Yoga in Nepal can provide traditional yoga practitioners with a modern approach to well-being and a holistic environment filled with spirituality.” She invited everyone to visit Nepal to experience the spiritual environment and peace of Nepal.

Representatives of Nepali and Chinese organizations were present at the event. Guru Amar healed the participants through a sound medium. The World Health Organization started celebrating December 21 as World Meditation Day from 2024 onwards to raise awareness about meditation and its benefits.
