Nepali student Rujal Shrestha has been awarded the ‘Dr. Ramdas M. Pai Excellence Award’, given to the best student by Manipal Academy of Higher Education in the United Arab Emirates (UAE).

Shrestha, from Pokhara, who graduated in business administration from Manipal, received the award at the 25th annual convocation held in Dubai.

722 students from 43 batches graduated under 39 academic programs at the convocation. Manipal has been running programs in engineering, IT, business, life sciences, design, architecture, liberal arts and commerce among others.

Manipal Dubai Vice-Chancellor Dr. Sudhindra Samanna said that the university is producing graduates who can not only survive with change but also lead it, saying, “We expect every student who leaves the campus to be able to create value in business, research, public service or other fields.”
