The tribal communities of Nepal have presented their original culture in New York of America.
18 groups of indigenous people presented original culture and dance at the tribal cultural evening organized by the Federation of Nepalese Tribal Tribes (FIPNA) America in Woodside, New York on Friday. Soi Dhole Soi danced with tamang cello and dolak while playing Damfu and Tungna brought the cultural diversity of Nepal to life in America. Similarly, dances reflecting Magar culture along with Kumari dance, Sherpa dance made the program interesting. The participants in the program were present in original costumes.
The Nepal Tribal Federation established in 2005 is the largest Nepali organization in New York. This organization was formed under the name of Global Tribes Federation and became Nepal Tribal Tribes Federation in 2007. The federation has been making significant contributions to Nepal's arts, culture, costumes, tradition and language preservation, enrichment and transmission and is assisting in various situations in Nepal. 
FIPNA President Toran Gurung chaired the coordination and management of the cultural evening by Secretary General Deepak Chaudhary. Local representatives of New York City were also present at the event. FIPNA was presented with a Certificate of Recognition by Councilman Robert Holden of New York Metropolitan District 30.
FIPNA President Gurung asserted that he will continue his language, culture and traditions even though he is in America, and will create an environment for the second generation to be proud of their culture. President Gurung said that the Indigenous People's Day was organized in New York on July 9 and urged everyone to make this day historic.
General Secretary Chaudhary urged all organizations to be more active and said that FIPNA is always ready to lead them.
