Tamu Pye Lhu Sangh UK has honored Kantipur Daily's Lamjung Correspondent Ash Gurung in UK.

According to Tamu Pye Lhu Sangh UK, the award was given in appreciation of the dedication, tireless efforts and contribution to the prosperity, cultural traditions and heritage of the Gurung community.

He was honored by the Tamu Pye Lhu Association UK at a welfare dinner held at his home in Reading Berkshire, UK on Saturday evening, April 19 (May 6).  

Tamu Pye Lhu Sangh UK president Dem Bahadur Gurung dressed Gurung as per the Gurung tradition and also Tamu Dheem UK president Jumkaji Gurung gave him a certificate, according to organizer Tamu Pye Lhu Sangh UK secretary Veglal Gurung.

Kantipur correspondent Gurung along with singers Pavitra Gurung, Savina Gurung and Tilak Bahadur Gurung were also honoured. They have been honored for contributing to the preservation of the language, art and culture of the Gurung people through music.
