Two Nepali citizens who tried to enter the US illegally were shot and arrested.
According to local time, two Nepalis who were trying to enter the United States illegally from the San Diego area of California on Tuesday night last week were arrested by the Air and Marine Operations (AMO) of the US Customs and Border Protection (CBP).
It is said that they are currently under the control of CBP. The CBP informed through the website that nine immigrants, including two Nepalis, who tried to enter the US illegally, were detained from the coast of California. CBP has not disclosed the name of the person arrested so far.
"After the AMO aircraft detected a group of illegal immigrants coming from the coast of California on a boat towards the US border at around 9:30 on Tuesday night, the aircrew was monitoring the boat in coordination with the Coastal Interceptor Vessel," CBP said, "Due to the time of night, it was difficult to control them at sea and they were shot at on Wednesday morning They have been arrested.'
Among those arrested are two Nepalis, two Mexicans, four Brazilians and one Chinese citizen. CBP is preparing to take legal action against them for violating American law 8 USC 1324.
According to US law, a fine or up to five years in prison for a general violation, a minimum of 3 to a maximum of 10 years in prison for financial gain or if a criminal alien is involved.
