Nepali young businessman Mahesh Prasai has been honored by the New South Wales state government. New South Wales State Premier Chris Minns honored him for his contribution to the local community through business.
Prasai was honored at an event held in Sydney on Saturday. Prasai has been doing fresh fruit and food business in Rockdale, Sydney, Australia. In the
program, others who have contributed significantly to the state in various ways such as health, security, emergency services were also honored. But Prasai was the only one who got respect as a businessman from the Nepali community. Sanjiya Sharma, unpaid consul of New South Wales, Anil Pokharel, president of NRNA Australia and others were present at the
event. After the award, Prasai said that this award has made the identity of Nepal and Nepalis higher in the state than himself.
Prasai, who came to Australia as a student about a decade and a half ago, is active in social services besides business.
