Preparations for the 'Nepal Festival', which is to be held in South Australia after a month, have been intensified. The Nepal Festival is going to be organized on the 9th of March in Elders Park, the main tourist area of Adelaide, the capital of the state.
NRNA, an organization of migrant Nepalis, has informed about the preparations for the festival by holding a press conference on Wednesday. Sanjay Puri, President of NRNA South Australia, said that the purpose of the festival is to connect other communities in Australia with Nepali art culture and tourism through the festival.
He informed that an estimated 1 50,000 dollars will be spent for this and about 100,000 dollars have been collected for that . Bumrang International and Flinders University, where most of the Nepalese students study, announced to support 20,000 dollars for the festival.
Ashish Wagle, the head of Bumrang International, said in a press conference that they are going to join hands to promote Nepali art culture, tourism and tradition and provide support to the community. In the
press conference, the logo of the festival was announced, and Vinod Baniyan, the managing coordinator of the festival and the vice president of the organization, informed about the progress made so far. He said that the work has been accelerated by forming more than a dozen sub-committees to make the festival a success. More than 10,000 people are expected to participate in the
festival, while state government ministers, parliamentarians and leaders of local political parties and multi-cultural communities will participate. Kandara band and singer Samishka Adhikari will perform music at the festival.

Soon after South Australia, Nepal Festival will be organized in other four cities of Australia. According to the information given by the organizer NRNA, the Nepal Festival will be held in Melbourne on March 15th, in the capital Canberra on March 22nd, in Hobart in Tasmania on March 29th and in Brisbane on April 6th.
A cultural parade with Nepali tableaus will be held at the festival held in every state, while a Nepal House will also be constructed for the purpose of providing information on Nepali handicrafts, clothes and other materials.
The Nepal Festival, which has been started for about a decade and a half, has been making a significant contribution to promoting Nepal's tourism and informing the multicultural community of Australia about Nepali art and culture.
In recent times, not only the state government here provides financial support for this program, but the premier as well as leaders of other political parties have started to participate with priority.
