The Nepali Embassy in Kuwait has requested Nepali workers to participate in the social security concept introduced by the government.

This request was made by conducting an interaction program on 'Financial awareness and safe remittance flow' regarding the role of financial institutions and money transfer agencies in Kuwait to increase awareness on important topics including financial awareness, remittances and social security fund. According to the Embassy, the non-resident Nepali Association of Kuwait, representatives of the foreign branch of the Federation of Nepalese Journalists and Nepali representatives working in most of the financial sector organizations in Kuwait that send money to Nepal participated in the

program. Addressing the

program, Ambassador Ghanshyam Lamsal said that it is necessary to inform Nepali workers working in Kuwait about financial awareness. He said that the importance of financial awareness and social security program should be explained to Nepali workers in a simple way and included in the program. The participants of the

program expressed their opinions about financial awareness, the way of sending remittances in Nepal, its trends and possibilities, and how to make the social security fund more effective and increase the participation of workers. The participant thanked the embassy for addressing the issue of financial awareness.

Nepali representatives working in Kuwait's financial sector and other diplomatic staff of the embassy were present at the event.
