Hari Budhamagar, who successfully climbed the world's highest peak Mount Everest with the help of an artificial leg, has been honored with the 'MBE' award.
Budhamgar was awarded the 'Member of the Order of the British Empire' (MBE) medal by Princess Anne at a ceremony held at Windsor Castle on Wednesday. The prestigious medal is awarded by the Rajdarbar on the recommendation of the government for outstanding achievements and outstanding service to the community.
Budhamgar, who lives in Canterbury, Kent, UK, recalled that he could not speak to the princess for a while before 'I am on a mission to climb the seven highest peaks' while receiving the award . "You will be happy after receiving the award." It means that if you do a good job, you will be recognized,' he said to Kantipur, 'This has given me more motivation for my main purpose of disability awareness.'
Budhamgar has so far climbed 4 Everest (Asia), Mont Blanc (Europe), Mount Kilimanjaro in Africa and Denali in North America with the goal of climbing the seven summits of seven continents by 2026.
Next February, he is planning to climb Acancagua, the highest mountain in Argentina. Budhamgar, who lost both his legs in the war in Afghanistan while serving in the British Gurkhas, climbed Mount Everest with the help of artificial legs on May 19 last year. ;
