The NEPSE index, which measures share transactions, fell by 33.28 points on Monday. After rising for two consecutive trading days, NEPSE saw a significant decline on Monday. Compared to last Friday, it dropped by 1.21 percent, bringing the overall NEPSE down to 2,701.32 points.
Of the companies traded on Monday, the share prices of 36 companies increased, while those of 234 companies decreased, and the prices of 5 companies remained stable.
In a total of 69,803 transactions, 13,925,337 shares were bought and sold. These transactions amounted to a total turnover of Rs 6.08 billion. The transaction amount was slightly lower compared to the previous day. Last Friday, share transactions amounted to Rs 6.26 billion.
Of the 13 subgroups traded on Monday, all indices except for banking and mutual funds declined, putting downward pressure on the overall NEPSE index.
