The Cabinet has decided to remove the tax imposed on education and health. At today’s Cabinet meeting, it was decided to abolish the 3 percent tax on the education and health sectors proposed by Finance Minister Swarnim Wagle.
Prime Minister Balendra Shah announced on Tuesday via social media that the mentioned tax would be withdrawn. Today’s Cabinet meeting has made a formal decision on that announcement.
The tax, which was announced in the budget for fiscal year 2083/84, had come into effect from the first day of Saun.
