NEPSE rises for fifth consecutive day, up 41.70 points

The NEPSE index, which measures share trading, rose by 41.70 points on Monday. The NEPSE, which had increased continuously for the previous four days, followed the same trend on Monday as well.

However, the growth rate of the NEPSE decreased on Monday compared to last Friday. Last Friday, the NEPSE had increased by 79.74 points.

The NEPSE increased by 1.55 percent compared to Friday, raising the overall NEPSE to 2,719.24 points. Of the companies traded on Monday, the share prices of 239 companies increased while 32 companies decreased. However, the prices of 5 companies remained stable on that day.

A total of 12,245,337 shares were traded in 67,155 transactions. A transaction value of Rs 5.51 billion 26 million was transacted in these transactions. Out of the 13 subgroups traded on Monday, the indices of all increased except for mutual funds.

Share investors met Prime Minister Balendra Shah on Monday. During the meeting, Prime Minister Shah urged investors to invest with confidence as the government is ready to solve the problems of the stock market.
