Finance Minister Swarnim Wagle has said that the government is positive about increasing the salaries of MPs' personal secretaries and making field visit allowances timely.
Speaking at the Finance Committee meeting under the House of Representatives on Friday, Finance Minister Wagle said that the government is liberal on the salaries and other facilities of personal secretaries. 'The government is positive about making the allowances and other facilities provided during field visits timely by implementing the necessary procedures and processes,' he said. 'There is a matter of salary increase, we are being liberal in everything from the personal secretary of every MP. We are not negative about making the allowances for field visits timely by implementing the procedures.'
Wagle said that the government is ready to finalize the issues of the proposed amendments to the Nepal Rastra Bank Act through healthy and lawful discussions. He said that the government will not be strict on issues such as the structure of the Rastra Bank and the appointment of officials.
