The international trade exhibition ‘Automechanika Frankfurt 2026’ is scheduled to be held at the Messe Frankfurt Exhibition Center in Frankfurt, Germany, from September 8 to 12.

This is one of the world’s leading international trade exhibitions encompassing the entire chain of the automobile aftermarket.

According to Messe Frankfurt, the five-day exhibition will feature the participation of thousands of businesspeople and experts from around the world, including automobile manufacturers, spare parts producers, distributors, workshop operators, technology companies, service providers, and industry-related professionals.

This exhibition, focused on international trade promotion of automobile after-sales service, maintenance, spare parts, and related technology, will present the latest industry trends and future possibilities on a single platform.

The organizers have stated that special priority will be given to electric vehicles (EVs), artificial intelligence (AI), digital diagnostics, smart workshop solutions, software-defined vehicles, connected mobility, sustainability, and green technology at the exhibition.

The exhibition will showcase the latest products and solutions in areas such as automobile parts and components, repair and maintenance equipment, garage and workshop technology, tires and wheels, lubricants, car wash and detailing, body and paint, digital services, accessories, and customization.

It is believed that this will provide businesspeople with opportunities to launch new products, expand into international markets, and develop business partnerships.

Special programs such as the ‘High-Tech for Mobility’ forum, ‘Automechanika Pit Lane’ (live technical demonstration area), and ‘Experience Park’ will be held as part of the exhibition.

According to the organizers, these programs will feature live demonstrations of cutting-edge automobile technology, discussions among industry experts, technical training, and interactive sessions on research and innovation. There will also be special presentations on digital transformation, automated systems, and environmentally friendly technology.

According to the organizers, Automechanika Frankfurt is not only a platform for product displays but has also established itself as an important international platform for business expansion, partnership building, and knowledge exchange among industrialists, investors, importers, distributors, and service providers worldwide.

More than 4,400 exhibitors from over 80 countries will showcase how innovations such as AI, electromobility, digitalization, and autonomous driving are transforming the automotive aftermarket industry.

Automechanika offers new formats and opportunities that will encourage global networking even after the trade fair.

At the 2024 Automechanika Frankfurt, 4,132 exhibitors from 76 countries participated, and 107,676 visitors from 172 countries attended the exhibition.

Among them, 85 percent of visitors expressed their desire to participate again in the 2026 edition.

Similarly, 60 percent of exhibitors rated it as the most important international trade exhibition in their industry.

Of the industry-related visitors, 63 percent were decision-makers, while 32 percent were young entrepreneurs and technicians under the age of 30.

Although Automechanika exhibitions are held in 16 countries worldwide, the German edition is the largest, according to Binod Mall, the official representative of Messe Frankfurt for Nepal and head of Messe Frankfurt Nepal.

He stated that since Nepal relies on imports for automobile spare parts, this exhibition will be an important opportunity for Nepali businesspeople.

“Nepal imports automobile spare parts entirely. Automechanika is a platform where manufacturing companies participate directly,” he said. “Nepali businesspeople usually purchase goods through dealers or showrooms in markets such as Dubai and Guangzhou. But at Automechanika, it is possible to meet many international manufacturers directly under one roof.”

Mall stated that direct transactions with manufacturers can reduce import costs, make goods available at competitive prices, and ultimately benefit consumers.

He said that the exhibition will provide information about new automobile-related technologies. This year, there will also be participation from Nepali businesspeople and visitors. While there was zero participation from Nepal at Automechanika in 2024, four companies from Nepal participated in 2022.
