The World Hindu Economic Forum conference will be held in Nepal next year. For this purpose, a memorandum of understanding regarding cooperation has been signed between the Federation of Nepalese Chambers of Commerce and Industry (FNCCI) and the World Hindu Economic Forum (WHEF). The memorandum states that the conference will be held in Nepal in 2027.

FNCCI President Anjan Shrestha and Suraj Vaidya, Chair of the World Hindu Economic Forum Nepal–2027 Organizing Committee, signed the memorandum at a program organized at the FNCCI on Wednesday.

According to the memorandum, the goal is to establish Nepal as an attractive destination for world-class investment, innovation, and entrepreneurship; to identify and promote public–private projects suitable for investment in all seven provinces; to attract foreign direct investment; and to strengthen economic diplomacy.

On the occasion, FNCCI President Anjan Shrestha expressed his belief that this cooperation would make a significant contribution to establishing Nepal as an attractive destination for international investment, trade, and business partnerships.

He stated that this cooperation would serve as an important foundation for the success of the World Hindu Economic Forum conference to be held in Nepal in 2027 and the upcoming investment conference, adding that joint promotional programs would be conducted within Nepal and abroad before the conference to secure concrete investment commitments. “Nepal has unique potential in natural resources, cultural heritage, and strategic geographic location. International cooperation is necessary to transform these potentials into production, investment, and employment. This memorandum is believed to help Nepal benefit from these potentials,” President Shrestha said.

Suraj Vaidya, Chair of the World Hindu Economic Forum Nepal–2027 Organizing Committee and former FNCCI President, said that the conference would help attract foreign investment, promote youth entrepreneurship, and give new momentum to Nepal’s economic development.

Similarly, Swami Vigyan Anand, Patron of the World Hindu Economic Forum, stated that Nepal is a country of immense potential and that the conference could be a means to explore new possibilities for Nepal’s economic development.

Likewise, former FNCCI President Kush Kumar Joshi said that through this forum, industrialists and entrepreneurs from across the country, as well as member organizations at the provincial and district levels, would be mobilized; cooperation would be carried out in identifying investable projects; and a role would be played in facilitating dialogue and policy coordination between the government and the private sector.

At the program, FNCCI Senior Vice President Surakrishna Vaidya, District City Vice President Krishnaprasad Sharma, and World Hindu Economic Forum Nepal President Pradeepman Vaidya, among others, said that through the international network, investors, industrialists, entrepreneurs, and policymakers from around the world could be brought to Nepal, which would help promote foreign investment in the country.

According to the memorandum, the forum will promote investment in priority sectors such as tourism and hospitality, spiritual and wellness tourism, infrastructure and transportation, education and skill development, agriculture and herbal processing, energy, information technology, and mining and minerals.
