The NEPSE index, which measures share trading, fell by 30.09 points on Wednesday. The NEPSE, which rose by 24.57 points on Tuesday, fell by a high of 1.13 percent compared to Tuesday. The overall NEPSE closed at 2,621.59 points.

Of the companies that traded on Wednesday, the share prices of 25 companies increased while 247 companies decreased. However, the share prices of 5 companies remained stable on that day.

A total of 8,463,150 shares were bought and sold in 77,627 transactions on that day. A turnover of Rs 4.826 billion was recorded in those transactions. The transaction amount also increased compared to the previous day. The turnover in the stock market on Tuesday was Rs 4.407 billion.

Out of the 13 subgroups that traded on Wednesday, the indices of all the groups except the mutual funds declined, leading to a high decline in the overall NEPSE. However, the mutual fund index remained positive by 0.11 percent.
