Minister for Youth, Labor and Employment Ramji Yadav has said that labor inspection has been given priority to ensure minimum wages and service facilities for workers working in the internal labor market.

Responding to questions raised by members in the National Assembly, he said that the government has adopted a policy of 'action and encouragement' to implement labor rights at the workplace. 'In the last 100 days alone, labor inspections of 1,321 establishments have been conducted. During the inspection and settlement of cases, Rs 44 million 96 thousand have been collected as fines or agreements from those who acted against the interests of workers,' he said. 'This action is 59 percent more than in the previous nine months.'

He also said that the decade from 2083 to 2092 has been declared as the 'Employment Promotion Decade'. 'Accordingly, a draft of the National Employment Policy 2083 is being prepared,' he said.

He said that 1,04 foreign employment cases and complaints were settled within 100 days and Rs. 307.5 million compensation was paid to the victims. Stating that the Action Command Center and Operation Illegal Agent campaign have been launched to control fraud, he said, ‘Files of 11,528 cases since 2057 have been digitized. A web portal has been launched for complaint tracking.’
