The three-day workshop, initiated by the Nepal Tourism Board, aims to effectively present Nepal's natural beauty, cultural heritage, food and adventure tourism to the world community.

The board said in a statement that this campaign is expected to contribute to the promotion of lesser-known attractive places along with famous tourist destinations in Nepal.

The workshop will provide training to various participants related to the tourism sector on short video production, audience interaction, digital storytelling, audience growth, brand collaboration and responsible content development.

TikTok said it will also provide skills to tourism professionals, trekking guides and small and medium entrepreneurs to effectively promote their services and products through digital means.

Firdous Mottakin, Head of Public Policy and Government Relations, South Asia, TikTok, said TikTok has played a significant role in connecting users around the world to new destinations, local cuisines and cultural experiences. He said that the collaboration with the Nepal Tourism Board will help bring Nepal’s unique beauty and rich cultural heritage to a global audience.

According to him, the role of digital platforms is important in presenting Nepal’s rich culture, natural heritage, biodiversity and hospitality to the world in a creative way.
