Stock market decline continues, NEPSE falls below 2700

As the market continues to decline, the NEPSE fell below 2,700 on Tuesday. This is the lowest in the last two and a half months.

The NEPSE index, which measures stock trading, fell by 14.45 points on Wednesday. After a decrease of 0.54 percent compared to the previous day, the overall NEPSE fell to 2,660.02 points. The stock market, which has been sluggish for the past few days, followed the same trend on Wednesday.

As the market continued to decline, the NEPSE fell below 2,700 on Tuesday. This is the lowest in the last two and a half months. Earlier, on 22 Chaitra 2082, the NEPSE was at 2,676.68 points. Since then, the NEPSE has increased to 2,866 points, but has been falling again to between 27 and 2800.

Of the companies that traded on Wednesday, 62 companies increased their share prices, 202 companies decreased their share prices and 10 companies remained stable.

A total of 177,582 shares were bought and sold on that day in a total of 72,917 share transactions. Shares worth 4.41 billion 4.6 billion rupees were traded in those transactions. The trading amount also increased compared to the previous day. Shares worth 4.36 billion 21 million rupees were traded on Tuesday.

The overall NEPSE fell by double digits after all 13 subgroups traded that day, except for financial companies and trade, fell.
