The stock market, which has been sluggish for the past few days, has repeated the same trend on Monday. The NEPSE, which rose by about 1.5 points last Friday, fell by 1.46 points on Monday.

On that day, 8,138,433 shares were bought and sold in a total of 90,862 share transactions. Shares worth Rs 4.44 billion were traded in those transactions. The trading amount also decreased compared to the previous day. Shares worth Rs 4.53 billion were traded on Friday.
Of the 13 subgroups traded on that day, the finance, microfinance and trade indices increased moderately. The indices of the remaining subgroups decreased. According to NEPSE data, the banking subgroup index decreased by 0.10 percent, development banks by 0.07 percent, hotels and tourism by 0.14 percent, hydropower by 0.20 percent, investment by 0.02 percent, life insurance by 0.45 percent, production and processing by 0.06 percent, mutual funds by 0.59 percent, non-life insurance by 0.21 percent, and others by 0.20 percent.
