An MoU has been signed between the Nepal-India Chamber of Commerce and Industry (NIKCI) and Global Investment and Trade Advisors (GITA) with the aim of promoting trade, investment, institutional partnerships and economic cooperation between Nepal and India.
The MoU was signed by Marshall Rathore, Director, NIKCI, and Priya Rawat, Managing Partner, Advisors. The partnership will strengthen cross-border business relations, facilitate knowledge exchange and create new opportunities for investors and enterprises of both countries.
Both organizations will work on professional representation, investment outreach programs, sectoral engagement, policy dialogues, road-shows and stakeholder consultations. The collaboration is designed to promote structural engagement among businesses, investors, chambers of commerce, industry bodies, government agencies and development partner organizations, as well as encourage increased participation in emerging economic opportunities in key sectors.
Representatives from both institutions stressed the importance of strong institutional support to advance India-Nepal economic relations. The MoU is also said to be an important step towards increasing bilateral trade and investment flows between the two neighboring countries, promoting business partnerships, and building a more dynamic ecosystem for economic cooperation.
