Elon Musk, known as the emperor of the world of technology, has become the world's first trillionaire (trillionaire). Musk, the owner of SpaceX, Tesla, X and Grok companies, has assets worth 1.3 trillion US dollars, according to Forbes Magazine.

In October 2025, Musk's total assets crossed the $500 billion mark for the first time. He is the first person in the world to earn so much wealth. After the shares of all these companies were issued to the public, the value increased and he became a trillionaire.

Musk's influence in politics has been increasing in recent years. He played a role in helping Donald Trump win the 2024 presidential election. Born in Pretoria, South Africa, Musk has been professionally skilled since childhood. Musk, who used to sell chocolate and eggs to people's homes with his brother, developed computer games at the age of 12. He has said that his childhood was complicated due to his parents' divorce. He says that bullying at school and Asperger's syndrome made it difficult for him to integrate socially as a child.

He came to Canada from Pretoria to study and from there to the United States. While studying at Queen's University in Canada, he met Justin Wilson. From there, he came to the United States in 1992 and continued his studies at the University of Pennsylvania. After studying economics and physics, he started two technology startup companies in the 1990s. One was a web software company and the other was an online banking company. The online banking company is now known as PayPal. Musk sold it to eBay for $1.5 billion in 2002.

In 2000, Musk married his longtime girlfriend, Justine. But they divorced in 2008. They have six children. Musk, who likes to take risks, founded rocket company SpaceX and electric car company Tesla in the 2000s. He was Tesla's chairman before becoming CEO in 2008.

SpaceX, which was launched with the goal of becoming a cheaper alternative to NASA, is one of the world's largest companies. It aims to one day send humans to Mars. Musk also has his own ambitions in the field of AI. He was one of the early investors in the company Open AI, owned by ChatGPT. But he left in 2018 after a dispute began between the partners. Musk has since run his own company SAI. Grok AI is a product of this company.

In February 2024, Musk also filed a lawsuit against Open AI founder Sam Altman. He claimed that he invested in the company so that it would remain non-profit. But Musk alleged that the company violated his contract by selling shares to Microsoft over time. This was dismissed by a California judge in May 2026. In the past, Musk has claimed that his business is philanthropic, not for profit. He used to say that his business is focused on solving major human problems like climate change. But he has been changing his view on climate change in recent days.

“It’s a real problem. But the real risk is less than the experts are warning about,” he wrote in X some time ago. Although he runs an AI company himself, he has also expressed concern that this technology could pose a challenge to humanity in the future. He worries that the development of AI and the declining birth rate could lead to a decrease in the human population in the world.

Musk is the father of 14 children. He has 6 children with his first wife Justine, 3 with Canadian singer Grimes, 4 with businesswoman Siobhan Gillis, and 1 with author and influencer Ashley St. Clair. After the birth of twins with Jillis in 2021, Musk wrote on social media, “I am doing everything I can to avoid the crisis of underpopulation.” Musk has also been involved in controversy from time to time. His former partner Claire filed a lawsuit against Musk’s company X in January this year. She filed the lawsuit after discovering that Grok was used to bring X to the stage of indecent deepfake photos.
