Social media platform TikTok is collaborating with the Nepal Tourism Board to launch a ‘Travel Content Creation Workshop’ targeting stakeholders in the tourism sector. According to a press release issued by the

board, 300 tourism professionals, tourism entrepreneurs, travel content creators, digital storytellers, media professionals and tourism journalists from across the country will participate in the workshop to be held in Kathmandu for three days starting next Wednesday. According to the

board, the workshop is being organized with the aim of effectively promoting Nepal’s tourism destinations, culture, heritage and adventure tourism in the international market through digital means. Participants will be given practical training on storytelling in the tourism sector, short video production, interaction with the audience, destination branding and effective use of digital platforms in tourism promotion.

The board has stated that for the three-day program, participants will be divided into groups based on their professional fields and will participate in a one-day intensive session. TikTok experts will provide training in the workshop.

The Nepal Tourism Board and TikTok have been collaborating in recent years to promote Nepal's tourism through digital storytelling, mobilize content creators, and conduct capacity building programs.
