The Gandaki Provincial Government is going to coordinate with the federal government to re-operate the Gorakhkali Rubber Industry located in Gorkha Municipality-13, Majhuwa Deurali. Presenting the budget for the upcoming fiscal year 2083/084 in the provincial assembly on Monday, the provincial economic affairs minister Jit Bahadur Sherchan said that he would coordinate with the federal government to re-operate the Gorakhkali Rubber Industry and Bhrikuti Paper Factory, which are in ailing condition within the province. He said that in partnership with the federal government, 250 million rupees have been allocated for the transformational projects of the provincial government as well as the excavation of Dhaubadi iron ore and the search, study and exploration of mines and minerals. He said that 100 million rupees have been allocated for the upgrading of the Manaslu, Annapurna, Dhaulagiri and Dhorpatan cycle trails, identification and promotion of alternative routes, and the purchase of city scan machines at Madhyabindu Provincial Hospital, Nawalpur and Gorkha. The budget mentions that Rs 35 million has been allocated for the purchase of ambulances for hospitals under the Gandaki Provincial Government. He also said that Rs 77.2 million has been allocated for the blacktop of roads including Abuwa-Birdi-Serabajar-Pauwatar road in Gorkha, Patichour-Bajung-Nagi road in Parbat, in partnership with the Nepal Government, in addition to the strategic roads and road bridges of the province.
