Finance Minister Swarnim Wagle has claimed that the government has brought the budget for the coming fiscal year with equality at its center. In a meeting of the House of Representatives held on Thursday, Finance Minister Wagle claimed that equality and social justice have been made the centerpiece of the budget. He refuted the accusations made by opposition parties that the budget was against the spirit of the constitution. 'It is one thing to complain that the budget was not in the language I understand or the agenda carried by my party, but our vision for the next five years is the promise we made and the agenda approved by the people, and we have taken forward the programs by being extremely loyal to that,' he said. 'The politics of 30/40 years has been a bit left-wing,' said Finance Minister Wagle. 'It is absolutely wrong to say that it was against the constitution, we have put equality at the center.' Even when talking about growth, we have talked about growth with equity. We have talked about equitable progress and prosperity. That is why, even though we do not use the word socialism, we have put forward the agenda of equality,' he said.
