The NEPSE index, which measures share turnover, rose by 2.57 points on Wednesday. The overall NEPSE rose by 0.09 percent compared to Tuesday to 2,736.17 points on Wednesday. The NEPSE, which had fallen for four consecutive days, rose by a modest number on Wednesday.

Of the companies traded on Wednesday, the prices of 127 increased, 134 companies decreased and 10 remained unchanged.

A total of 9,283,326 shares were bought and sold in 49,248 share transactions on that day. The transaction value was Rs 4.29 billion 7.4 billion. The transaction value decreased compared to the previous day. Last Tuesday, shares worth Rs 6.44 billion 3.1 billion were traded.

Of the 13 subgroups traded on that day, the indices of investment, life insurance, non-life insurance, others and trade subgroups decreased. However, as the indices of the remaining subgroups increased, the overall NEPSE turned positive by 2.5 points.

The banking subgroup index remained stable on Wednesday.
