In the 10 months of the current fiscal year (from Shrawan to Baisakh), 1916 billion rupees have been received through remittances. The monthly report of the National Bank has shown that remittance inflow has increased by 41.2 percent in the same period of the current fiscal year compared to Baisakh of the previous year. Till Baisakh of 2082, remittance inflow had increased by 13.3 percent.

Similarly, in Baisakh of 2083 alone, 257 billion 49 million rupees have been received in remittances. In Baisakh of the previous year, remittance inflow was 165 billion 30 million.

In Baisakh, remittance inflow in US dollars increased by 33 percent to 13 billion 26 million. Last year, such inflow had increased by 10.6 percent.

In the last 10 months, the number of Nepalis who have obtained final labor permits (institutional and individual-new) for foreign employment is 335 thousand 510 and the number of those who have obtained re-labor permits is 326 thousand 364. The number was 45,610 and 280,314 respectively during the same period last year.
