On Monday, Capital Hotels and Hospitality Limited, a subsidiary of MS Group, signed an agreement with global hotel group Marriott International.
Capital Hotels and Hospitality Chief Shashikant Agarwal said that the ‘JW Marriott Hotel Kathmandu’ will be operational by early 2031. According to him, the foundation stone of the hotel, which will be built with an investment of 9 billion, will be laid around the upcoming Dashain. The hotel will have 221 rooms. The hotel will have multiple dining outlets, a spa, a fitness center, a swimming pool, a JW Garden and a meeting and event venue spread over an area of more than 1,600 square meters.
The detailed design of the hotel is still pending. Agarwal said that it will be more luxurious than the 5-star hotel ‘Kathmandu Marriott’ currently operating in Naxal. This is the fourth collaboration between Capital Hotels and Marriott. Earlier, the MS Group has contracted three hotels under the Marriott Fairfield in Thamel, Moxy in Kamaladi, and Marriott brand in Naxal.
