Another panel for the new leadership of the Nepal Foreign Employment Entrepreneurs Association was announced on Saturday under the chairmanship of Dik Bahadur Khatri. The new leadership of the association is being selected in a special general meeting to be held on Jestha 24.
The panel has been announced under the leadership of Khatri on behalf of the joint business group. This group has the support of businessmen close to the CPN-UML and the Nepali Communist Party. This group includes first vice-president Mahesh Kumar Basnet, second vice-president Anil Bogati, third vice-president Tulsi Puri, general secretary Hira Bahadur Dangi, secretary Kedarnath Adhikari, and treasurer Dhanmaya Sinjali.
Similarly, the working committee members include Rama Khadka, Bivas Dhungana, Dhruv GC, Fadindra Kumar KC, Taramani Rai, Tara Tamang, Rabindra Rai, Bhavana Gajurel, Baburam Neupane and Yubaraj Devkota.
At the panel announcement meeting, presidential candidate Khatri said that the foreign employment sector is plagued by policy ambiguity, legal complexity and regulatory weaknesses, and his panel has moved forward to resolve them. "Our group is committed to creating a transparent, dignified and business-friendly environment, protecting the professional rights of entrepreneurs, promoting the interests of workers and enhancing the institutional capacity of the association," he said at the announcement meeting.
After the resignation of the majority of office bearers led by Bhuwan Singh Gurung, the District Administration Office, Kathmandu, had sent a letter to hold a special general meeting, stating that the Gurung Working Committee was automatically dissolved according to the association's statute. Accordingly, a special general meeting is being held a year before Gurung's term ends.
