The Nepal Foreign Employment Entrepreneurs Association announced its panel led by Meghnath Bhurtel on Saturday in the upcoming election for the new leadership. The association's special general meeting will be held in Kathmandu on Jestha 24.

The Democratic Foreign Employment Entrepreneurs Association, close to the Nepali Congress, is going to participate in the elections under the leadership of former Secretary General of the association Bhurtel.

Karnaraj Katuwal is the first vice-president, Rabin Megale Magar is the second vice-president, Laxman Poudel is the third vice-president, Amar Tiwari is the general secretary, Ramkaji Bhlon is the secretary, and Vidyaratna Bajracharya is the treasurer.

Similarly, the members include Rajesh Mainali, Kailash Pathak, Deubahadur Gautam (Sabin), Tanka Prasad Pangeni, Geeta Raut, Bhimmaya Karki, Diksha Thapaliya, Roshana Niraula, Deepak Kumar Dev and Hiralal Gaudel.

Bhurtel has made public a 10-point agenda saying that the foreign employment sector will be made transparent. In which he said that he will coordinate with the government and stakeholders to make a clear policy system that will protect the interests of both workers and entrepreneurs and to make real cost fees.

Bhurtel has expressed his commitment to establish a regular dialogue mechanism between the government, businessmen and labor representatives to find common solutions to common problems and to institutionalize tripartite cooperation.

The District Administration Office, Kathmandu, had sent a letter to hold a special general meeting of the association stating that the Gurung Working Committee was automatically dissolved as per the association's statute after the resignation of the majority office bearers led by Bhuvan Singh Gurung. Accordingly, the special general meeting is being held a year before Gurung's term ends.
