The management committee of the Nepal Foreign Employment Entrepreneurs Association has decided to hold a special general meeting on Jestha 24 to elect a new leadership. It is reported that all preparations for this have been completed.

The management committee called the special general meeting after the District Administration Office, Kathmandu, sent a letter stating that the working committee led by Chairman Bhuwan Singh Gurung was automatically dissolved after two-thirds of the association's office bearers resigned en masse. However, the Gurung faction has stated that they are preparing to take legal action against the decision of the District Administration Office, saying that they are legitimate.

Management committee member Rajendra Bhandari said that the dispute in the association cannot be kept pending for a long time. 'The association is currently going through a special and compelling situation, and the association has moved forward in the process of selecting a solution, stability and competent leadership by actively participating all the entrepreneurs in the democratic process,' he said at a press conference organized on Wednesday.

The Gurung faction has objected to the administration's unilateral hearing. 'When I was grieving for my father, the administration sent a letter without even showing human sympathy. We were not invited to discuss this. "The 41-point letter we sent was not even registered by the administration," Gurung said, adding, "We are in discussions for legal redress."
