With the aim of honoring the contribution and courage of Everest climbers with the hope of further promoting Nepal's mountain tourism at the international level, the 'Everest Summiteers Summit 2026' will be held in the capital Kathmandu on Wednesday.
According to a press release issued by Everest Alliance Nepal, the second edition of the summit is being organized in collaboration with the Government of Nepal, Ministry of Culture, Tourism and Civil Aviation.
The organizers have stated that 176 Everest climbers from 26 countries of the world will be honored with special medals and certificates at the program.
It is said that President Ram Chandra Poudel will be present at the program. Everest Alliance Nepal Chairman Sudarshan Nepal said that the program was started last year with the aim of honoring Everest climbers.
