Minister for Infrastructure Development Sunil Lamsal has urged construction entrepreneurs to work with confidence, saying the government will adjust the prices of construction materials.

In a discussion organized by the Infrastructure Development Committee under the House of Representatives on Friday on the status of public infrastructure construction, Minister Lamsal also urged them to trust the government and work with confidence. 'Work with confidence, the price adjustment of construction materials is done as per the law,' he said, 'The government understands your problems.'

He also urged entrepreneurs to complete their work quickly without stopping.

Nicholas Pandey, President of the Federation of Nepal Builders and Contractors, said that the increase in the prices of construction materials due to the war in the Middle East is not a situation where they can work. 'The construction sector is in a problematic situation, work is at a standstill,' he said, 'There is no situation where they can work without price adjustment.'

Committee Chairman Ashish Gajurel emphasized that the state should fulfill its responsibility and that construction entrepreneurs should work quickly and with quality.
