In terms of per capita GDP (GDP), Bagmati Province is the richest and Madhesh Province is the poorest in the fiscal year 2082/83.

According to the initial estimate of the National Statistics Office, the per capita GDP of Bagmati Province in the current fiscal year will be 2,644 US dollars, Gandaki Province 1,651, Koshi 1,410, Lumbini 1,208, Sudurpaschim 1,170, Karnali 1,108 and Madhesh 934 US dollars.

At the national level, the initial estimate is 1,513 US dollars in the current fiscal year. In this regard, the per capita GDP of other provinces, except Bagmati and Gandaki Provinces, is lower than the national average.
