The government has started refunding money to savers of troubled cooperatives. In the same vein, the Problematic Cooperative Management Committee on Monday refunded a total of Rs 1,399,216 to 378 victims.
Of the cooperative savers who will receive their savings back on Monday, 215 people from Kantipur Cooperative received Rs 989,716, 7 people from Pashupati Cooperative received Rs 41,465, and 156 people from Shivshikhar Cooperative received Rs 368,355, according to Dilliraj Acharya, the chairman of the Problematic Cooperative Management Committee.
As announced earlier, the committee has started refunding money to victims with savings of less than Rs 10,000 from Monday. The committee has stated that this process will now continue.
