As mentioned in the summary of the Auditor General's 63rd Annual Report-2083 on Friday, out of 47.72 billion 55 million, the construction work in such projects has been partially paid.
Sections 59 and 63 of the Public Procurement Act, 2063, contain provisions such as obtaining a security deposit, imposing predetermined compensation, terminating the contract, and blacklisting if the work is not completed in accordance with the agreement and does not progress. The summary states that the contract should be completed within the period specified in the agreement.
Such projects are under the Ministry of Physical Infrastructure and Transport and the Ministry of Urban Development (currently Infrastructure Development), the Ministry of Energy, Water Resources and Irrigation, and the Auditor General's Office suggests that action should be taken as per the prevailing laws and the procurement agreement and the construction work should be completed.
