Presenting the policies and programs for the upcoming fiscal year, President Ram Chandra Poudel said that a legal system will be made for a remote work policy that will allow people to work for foreign employers while staying in Nepal. 'The skills of youth who have returned from foreign employment will be documented through a digital skill passport and international professional certification will be provided,' he said.
The government's policy is to ensure legal aid and access to justice for workers, ensure minimum wages by implementing a digital labor inspection system, and ensure occupational safety and health at the workplace.
'The national-level welfare fund will be effectively mobilized by developing good labor relations between the government, employers, and workers,' Poudel said, 'The commitment to eliminate child labor will be effectively implemented.'
