The Federation of Nepalese Chambers of Commerce and Industry has fully supported the Price Transparency Week announced by the government and called on industrialists and businessmen across the country to participate in the campaign.
The Federation has expressed its solidarity with the Ministry of Industry, Commerce and Supplies' decision to celebrate 'Price Transparency Week' nationwide from 28 Baisakh to 3 Jestha. The Federation issued a press release on Sunday, stating that this campaign will be effective in bringing uniformity in the prices of goods and services in the market and creating a clean business environment.
'As per the ministry's circular, we urge our member industry and commerce associations, commodity associations and affiliated businessmen to make it mandatory and clearly visible for all industrialists, importers, suppliers, wholesalers and retailers to keep updated price lists of the goods and services they sell,' the release states.
The Federation has also urged district and city industry and commerce associations to ensure that price lists are maintained in their respective markets and to actively participate in awareness-raising programs to make this campaign a success.
