Elected President Shrestha at the 60th Annual General Meeting said that he will work with the government to emphasize economic reform, an investment-friendly environment, and the promotion of the private sector.

The elected president of the Federation of Nepalese Chambers of Commerce and Industry (FNCCI), Anjan Shrestha, has said that he will move forward together with the new government.

Shrestha, who was elected president at the 60th annual general meeting of the federation, has made public the 'Six Pillars, Sixty Initiatives' program and the related detailed action plan. It has also been stated that the strategic programs and action plans to be taken forward by the federation will be implemented by prioritizing the long-term interests of the private sector, creating an investment-friendly environment, and institutional strengthening of the federation.

The 'Six Pillars, Sixty Initiatives' program and its detailed action plan have been made public with the aim of enhancing the institutional capacity of the federation and making the common voice of the private sector more effective, credible and result-oriented. 

'Small and medium industrialists lack capital. Earlier, cooperatives used to invest,' he said, 'there is liquidity in banks. But when problems arose in cooperatives, small and medium industrialists faced problems. We will work together with the government to increase the flow of capital into the market.'

Saying that the government has decided to introduce a sunset law within a certain period, he said that the problems arising in various laws will be resolved. Overall, he said that the government should work to increase the morale of the private sector, provide security, and reduce the cost of the private sector.

The election of members, including 4 vice-presidents, has been held from the 60th annual general meeting of the federation. Now the election of the senior vice-president and treasurer is pending.

According to Chief Election Officer Lilamani Poudel, the working committee has not taken any decision for the election of the senior vice-president and treasurer. He said that the process will begin once the working committee sets a new date.
