Khim Narayan Parajuli has been elected as the president of the Federation of Nepalese Chambers of Commerce and Industry. The fourth annual general meeting and second national general convention of the federation held in Nawalpur Gaindakot unanimously elected him as the president.

Yagya Prasad Panta is the senior vice-president, Damodar Nepal is the vice-president of industry, Lokjung Lama is the vice-president of commerce, Shivaraj Duwadi is the vice-president of commodity and Dipendra Bista is the associate vice-president.
Upendra Chaudhary, Ramsundar Bake, Prakash Pandey and Janakraj Parajuli have been elected as the open vice-presidents. Kalpana Sharma has been elected as the women's vice-president.
Surya Thapa is the general secretary of the new working committee, Ashish Karki is the treasurer and Kumar Thapa is the deputy general secretary. The secretaries are Chet Bahadur Khadka, Minraj Bhandari, Prem Sunar, Tapendra Prasad Joshi and Kedarnath Adhikari, while Netra Prasad Acharya has been selected as the co-treasurer.
Chairman Parajuli said that the new leadership will play an important role in solving problems in the industry and trade sector, empowering the private sector and expanding economic activities.
He said that he would raise a strong voice for the private sector as the backbone of the country's economy and its rights, security and respect. He also said that he would take initiatives to make tax, finance, labor and trade-related policies simple, transparent and business-friendly in collaboration with the government.
Parajuli said that the small and medium enterprise sector would be made strong and capable, making it an important foundation of the national economy.
