The Nepal Real Estate Agents and Agencies Federation (NIF) has been formally announced, uniting real estate agent and agency organizations across the country.

The ad hoc working committee of the federation was announced at a program organized in Kathmandu.

The working committee includes President Binod Subedi, Vice Presidents Hamid Miyan Khan and Gopal Barudi, General Secretary Shambhu Pokharel, Secretary Binita Basnet, Treasurer Nigma Sherpa, and members Yogesh Chaudhary, Ujjwal Subedi, and Isa Kharel. Businessmen involved in this sector have been called upon to open real estate agent and agency associations at the local, district, and provincial levels across the country.

The federation has stated that it aims to facilitate real estate buyers, sellers and investors by making agents and agencies involved in real estate transactions more professional, responsible and transparent, and to provide suggestions and contributions to the government to formulate necessary policies, rules and laws for further regulation of this sector.

At the program, Mahasangh President Binod Subedi thanked the government for recognizing the agency business for the first time in Nepal's history by bringing an act to issue licenses for real estate transactions. But he said that even though the law has been introduced, it is not complete.
