Manpower companies will be allowed to collect service fees only through the banking system. The Department of Foreign Employment has urged Nepali workers going for foreign employment to pay service fees only through the banking system, and this arrangement will be implemented. The department has stated that action will be taken against manpower companies if they do cash transactions. 

The department issued a notice on Thursday, urging businessmen not to transact in cash. The department has clarified that since cash transactions increase the risk of fraud, the banking system should be adopted for transparency and security. According to the department, Nepali workers going to Gulf countries will be allowed to collect only Rs 10,000 as service fees. 

Workers have also been requested to keep proof of payment through banking, documents and details of online transactions safe. There is an agreement with Malaysia to send workers at zero cost. However, there is no clear service fee specified for workers going to other countries, including Europe.
