Despite a modest increase in the NEPSE index, all subgroups except banking, development banks, hotels, hydropower, and trade saw a decline, with only 88 companies seeing an increase in share prices.

The NEPSE index, which measures share turnover, rose by 1.54 points. The overall NEPSE, which increased by 0.05 percent, rose to 2,788.70 points.

All subgroups except banking, development banks, hotels and tourism, hydropower production and processing, and trade declined. Of the companies traded, 88 increased their share prices, 167 decreased their share prices, and 14 remained stable.

A total of 12.174 million shares were traded in 75,292 transactions. Shares worth Rs 5.27 billion and 3.07 billion were traded in those transactions.

The share prices of Palpa Cement, Shikhar Power Development, and Mai Khola Hydropower increased by 15 percent. Corporate Development Bank's share price increased by 12.62 percent and Srinagar Agritech Industries' share price increased by 4.91 percent.

Prime Debenture 2088's share price decreased by 4.59 percent, Menchiyam Hydropower's share price decreased by 3.50 percent, NIC Asia Flex Cap Fund's share price decreased by 3.16 percent, KBL Debenture 2089's share price decreased by 3 percent and SBL Debenture 2089's share price decreased by 2.99 percent.
