The NEPSE index, which measures share trading, fell by 2.95 points on Wednesday. The overall NEPSE fell by 0.10 percent compared to last Tuesday to 2,84.12 points.

Of the companies traded on Wednesday, 221 increased in value, 138 decreased in value and 10 remained unchanged.

On that day, 175,888,854 shares were bought and sold in a total of 121,433 share transactions. Shares worth 7.81 billion 3.9 billion rupees were traded in those transactions. This is an increase compared to the previous trading day. Shares worth 5.77 billion 4.3 billion rupees were traded on Tuesday.

Of the 13 subgroups traded on that day, the indices of the development banks, hotels and tourism, hydropower, life insurance, microfinance, collective investment funds, others and trade subgroups decreased. Although the indices of the remaining subgroups increased, NEPSE closed in the negative by about 3 points.
