The NEPSE index, which measures share trading, fell by 17.91 points on Tuesday. The overall NEPSE fell by 0.63 percent compared to Monday to 2,807.31 points. On Monday, the NEPSE had risen by 13.17 points.   

Of the companies traded on Tuesday, the price of 48 increased, the price of 215 companies decreased and the price of 6 remained unchanged.

On that day, 13.19 million shares were bought and sold in a total of 95,800  times. Shares worth Rs 5.77 billion 4.3 million were traded in those transactions. The trading amount increased compared to the previous trading day. Shares worth Rs 5.43 billion 4.2 million were traded last Monday.

Out of the 13 subgroups traded on that day, the overall NEPSE fell by double digits after the indices of all the subgroups except hotels and tourism declined. However, the index of the development bank subgroup remained stable.
