Nepal Securities Board Chairman Santosh Narayan Shrestha has resigned from his post.

He submitted his resignation letter to the Ministry of Finance on Friday. Chairman Shrestha accepted his resignation.

‘I have submitted my resignation to the Ministry of Finance,’ he said, ‘I have taken the decision with a sense of responsibility to create a clear and conducive environment for the new government to advance its economic priorities and policy objectives with complete flexibility and coordination.’

Shrestha was appointed as the Chairman of the Securities Board on Mangsir 10, 2081.
